What is OEM?

Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) means you supply the design, specification and often the tooling, and the factory manufactures exactly to it under your brand. You keep full ownership of the product and can move it between factories, but you also carry the development cost and the responsibility for getting the specification right. OEM suits established products and brands; protect drawings with manufacturing agreements, and never share full technical files before the supplier is verified.
