What is Landed cost?

Landed cost is the full cost of getting one unit onto your shelf or into the fulfilment centre: product price, local transport, international freight, insurance, duty, VAT handling, customs brokerage and final delivery. Suppliers quote ex-works or FOB figures that exclude most of this, which is why two quotes 10% apart can reverse order once landed. Insist on a line-by-line landed-cost breakdown before approving any order β€” the figure you approve should be the figure you pay.
