LCL

Your cartons share a container with other importers' goods β€” cheaper for small volumes, slower and more handled.

What is LCL?

Less than Container Load (LCL) means your goods travel in a shared container, paying only for the cubic metres they occupy. It keeps small shipments affordable, but adds consolidation and deconsolidation handling at both ends β€” extra days, extra fees per cubic metre, and more hands on your cartons. Once your volume passes roughly half a container, price a full FCL box instead; the crossover surprises most first-time importers.
