What is FCL?
Full Container Load (FCL) means you book an entire container — typically 20ft, 40ft or 40ft high-cube — whether you fill it or not. The per-unit freight cost falls sharply as the box fills, so FCL beats shared LCL shipments once your cargo passes roughly half a container. You also avoid the extra handling and delays of consolidation warehouses, which is one fewer place your cartons can be damaged.
